Peter Cook

Peter is our Managing Director and founder of The Discount Appliance Centre Ltd. After 20 years in the Kitchen Industry, Peter decided with his vast experience to expand and specialise in retailing domestic appliances. Hence The Discount Appliance Centre was born in November 1997. Expanding steadily year on year into the multi million pound a year business you see today. Peter is very much a ‘hands’ on MD and will often be found answering sales calls or picking items in our warehouse.

Iain Moulds

Iain is our Commercial Director and works directly along side Peter in all aspects of the business. He also has experience of the Kitchen industry and was employed by Peter before the creation of The Discount Appliance Centre. Iain worked steadily through the ranks before he was appointed a Director in 2005. He oversaw the expansion of our 2nd showroom at Peterborough (before this was sold in 2008) as well as running the Newark operation. Iain is our most experienced sales person and our resident "Lacanche" expert. If you have any technical queries, ask for Iain!

Simone Mathias

Simone is our Company Accountant and joined us in May 2004.

She controls all of our many accounts and oversees the smooth running of the finance office, dealing personally with our hundreds of suppliers.

Ben Neil

Ben is one of our newest members of staff working in the sales dept. Ben joined us from Jackson Shipley in September 2006 bringing with him his sales and appliance experience. Ben is now learning new skills in regards to our internet web site and is taking more responsibility in this area.

Alex Barton-Hanson

Alex or "Alf" as he is more affectionately known joined us full time in September 2006, after previously working for us on a Saturday. Alex, like Ben is learning all aspects of the industry as well as how to make a proper cup of tea! Alex has excelled throughout his training and is now an extremely competent sales advisor. Alex also looks after our Ebay business for showroom clearance lines.

Laura Bennett

Laura joined our team as our Internet Supervisor in May 2005 and quickly became an extremely valuable member of the team. In 2007 she was promoted to Warehouse/Transport Manager and now runs our on site warehouse and busy transport dept. Despite her promotion she still can not make a decent cup of coffee but the warehouse productivity is up by over 20%!
